Friends of Ham

Having created the original Friends of Ham branding over a decade ago it was a great privilege to be asked back to do this 2024 refresh!  

I started by updating visual elements such as the logo, color scheme and typography to reflect contemporary design trends while ensuring that modernisation efforts do not compromise the distinctive features that customers associate with the brand.

New brand guidelines where created and a strategy of how best to roll out new assets. Starting with magazine adverts, glassware, event promotions and menu's, followed by an aim to reinvigorate the signage and shop front later in the summer when the city centre council have pedestrianised the area outside.

By carefully balancing the modernization of the brand with a commitment to its foundational elements, a brand refresh can invigorate the identity, ensuring it remains both timeless and in tune with the current market landscape.
